What is the best way to secure your account?
Use a secure email to log in. A secure email account is one that:
- Not found on haveibeenpwned.com
- Is protected by two-factor authentication, i.e. using SMS or a six-digit code generated by Authy or Google authenticator.
Use a password that you don’t use anywhere else. Your password should be at least 14 characters long and contain uppercase, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. The best option is to use a password manager.
- In your Simplecoin Wallet account activate 2FA.
- Go to Settings (top right below your email)
- Select Security
- Two-Factor Authentication – click Activate
- Then scan the QR code into the Twilio Authy mobile app, or Google authenticator.
- Enter your passcode and the 6-digit number generated by the app in the form. Once you press Confirm, 2FA will be set up and you will enter it each time you log in.
Activating and using 2FA login is the safest and easiest defense against hackers and malicious programs.
